How to Change Your Password

Overview: Change your Pippify password while you are signed in. If you forgot your password and can't sign in, reset it from the sign-in page instead.

Prerequisites:

  • You are signed in to Pippify.
  • You know your current password.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Open the Password chip

  1. Click your avatar in the top-right corner.
  2. Select My Account.
  3. Click the Password chip at the top of the page.

Step 2: Enter your passwords

  1. In Current Password, type your current password.
  2. In New Password, type your new password. It needs at least 8 characters, with an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter and a number.
  3. In Confirm New Password, type the new password again.
  4. Click Save. To clear the fields, click Cancel.
  5. A message confirms "Password changed successfully."

Verify It Worked

Success criteria:

  • You see "Password changed successfully." and the fields are cleared.
  • The next time you sign in, your new password works.

Troubleshooting

Common errors

  • "All fields are required.": one of the three fields is empty. Fix: fill in all three.
  • "New password and confirmation do not match.": the two new passwords are different. Fix: type the same new password in both fields.
  • "Current password is incorrect.": the current password is wrong. Fix: type it again. If you've forgotten it, sign out and reset your password from the sign-in page.
  • "New password does not meet requirements (min 8 chars, upper, lower, number).": the new password is too weak. Fix: use at least 8 characters with an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter and a number.
  • "Too many attempts. Please wait a moment and try again.": there were too many tries in a short time. Fix: wait, then try again.
  • "Your session has expired. Please sign in again.": your sign-in session ended. Fix: sign out, sign in again, then change your password.

Limitations & considerations

  • Your password is for your Pippify sign-in, so the change applies to every workspace you belong to.
