How to Create a Pippify Account

Summary

Overview: Sign up for Pippify with your name, company name, email address and a password, then confirm your email with a 6-digit code. Pippify creates a new workspace for your company, makes you its Admin and starts your free trial.

Prerequisites:

• An email address you can open right now (the verification code goes there).
• Sign-up is quickest in one browser tab, from Create Account to Verify Email. If you reload the page or verify in another tab or browser, you sign in once more to finish (see Step 5).
• If a teammate already invited you to their workspace, don't sign up. Use the invitation instead (see How to Accept an Invite and Join a Workspace).

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Open the sign-up page

1. Go to the Pippify sign-in page.
2. Under the Sign In button, next to Don't have an account yet?, click Sign up.
3. The Create your account page opens. The panel beside it says "Set up your Pippify workspace in minutes. No credit card required."

Step 2: Fill in your details

1. Enter your First Name and Last Name.
2. Enter your Company Name. Pippify uses it as your workspace name and as the brand name in emails Pippin sends. You can change it later.
3. Enter your Email Address.
4. Enter a Password. As you type, a checklist shows which rules you meet:
   • At least 8 characters
   • One uppercase letter
   • One lowercase letter
   • One number
   • One special character
5. Enter the same password again in Confirm Password. Use the eye icon in either field to show or hide what you typed.
6. Click Create Account. The button shows Creating account… while it works.

Step 3: Verify your email address

1. The Verify your email page opens and says "Enter the 6-digit code sent to" your email address.
2. Open the email and copy the 6-digit code. If you can't find it, check your spam folder.
3. Type the code in Verification Code. The Verify Email button turns on once all 6 digits are in.
4. Click Verify Email.
5. If the code doesn't arrive, click Resend code. You see "A new verification code has been sent to your email."
6. If your email is already verified, click Sign in next to Already verified?. Pippify also opens the sign-in page if you click Resend code or Verify Email for an email that is already verified.

Step 4: Start setting up

1. If you verified in the same tab without reloading, Pippify signs you in and opens the setup wizard (Account setup).
2. The wizard starts at Your website (What's your website?), then Connect email, Your knowledge and Check and go live. There you connect your email inbox (Gmail or Zoho Mail) and give Pippin what it needs. See How to Complete the Setup Wizard.

Step 5: Finish setting up your workspace (only if Pippify asks)

1. If you reloaded the page, or verified in another tab or browser, Pippify opens the Sign in page instead. It says "Email verified. Sign in to finish setting up your workspace." and your email is filled in. Enter your password and click Sign In.
2. When a verified email has no workspace yet, the Finish setting up your workspace page opens: "Your email is verified. Confirm your name and company to continue." This also happens if Pippify couldn't create your workspace right after verification.
3. Check Full Name and Company Name. Pippify fills them in when it still has your sign-up details. Otherwise, type them.
4. Click Continue. The button shows Setting up… while it works.
5. Pippify creates your workspace, makes you its Admin and opens the setup wizard.

Verify It Worked

Success criteria:

• When you verify in the same tab, you are signed in without having to type your password again.
• The setup wizard opens at Your website (What's your website?).
• After setup, the top bar shows your name with the role Admin.

Troubleshooting

Common errors

• "An account with this email already exists.": this email already has a login. Fix: go to Sign in. If you never verified that email, signing in with its password sends you a new code and opens the Verify your email page. If you forgot the password, use Forgot password? (see How to Reset Your Password).
• "Password does not meet requirements (min 8 chars, upper, lower, number).": the password breaks a rule. Fix: make sure every line of the checklist is ticked, including One special character.
• "Passwords do not match": the two password fields differ. Fix: type the same password in both.
• "Enter a valid email address": the email isn't in a valid format. Fix: check for typos.
• "Incorrect verification code.": the code doesn't match. Fix: check the newest email and type the code again.
• "Verification code has expired. Please request a new one.": Fix: click Resend code and use the new code.
• "Full name is required" or "Company name is required" (on Finish setting up your workspace): Fix: fill in both fields. A full name can be up to 100 characters and a company name up to 200.
• "We couldn't finish setting up your workspace. Please try again.": Fix: click Continue again. If it keeps failing, contact support.
• "An account already exists for this user. Please log in." (on Finish setting up your workspace): your workspace was already created. Fix: click Sign in in the message and sign in.
• "Your sign-in timed out. Please sign in again." (on the Sign in page): the Finish setting up your workspace page was open too long. Fix: sign in again to get back to it.

Limitations & considerations

• Each sign-up creates a new, separate workspace. To work in a colleague's workspace, ask their Admin to invite you.
• The person who signs up is the workspace's only Admin. Only the Admin sees Settings.
• Plan details and how long the free trial lasts are shown under Settings › Billing.
• If you reload the Finish setting up your workspace page or open it directly, Pippify returns you to the Sign in page. Sign in again to get back to it.
