How to Reset Your Password

Summary

Overview: If you forgot your password, Pippify emails you a 6-digit reset code. You enter the code and choose a new password, then sign in with it.

Prerequisites:

• Access to the email inbox for your Pippify login.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Request a reset code

1. On the Sign in page, click Forgot password?
2. The Forgot password? page opens: "Enter your email address and we'll send you a reset code."
3. Enter your Email Address.
4. Click Send Reset Code. The button shows Sending… while it works.

Step 2: Enter the code and a new password

1. The Reset password page opens and shows "Resetting password for" your email address.
2. Find the email with your code. It comes from no-reply@verificationemail.com. If it isn't in your inbox within a minute, check your spam folder.
3. Type the code in Reset Code.
4. Type your new password in New Password. A checklist shows the rules: At least 8 characters, One uppercase letter, One lowercase letter, One number and One special character.
5. Type it again in Confirm Password.
6. Click Reset Password. The button shows Resetting… while it works.
7. If the code didn't arrive, click Resend code under the form. You see "A new code was sent."

Step 3: Sign in with the new password

1. Pippify returns you to the Sign in page.
2. Sign in with your email address and new password. See How to Sign In and Choose a Workspace.

Verify It Worked

Success criteria:

• After Reset Password, you land on the Sign in page.
• You can sign in with the new password, and the old one no longer works.

Troubleshooting

Common errors

• "Incorrect reset code.": the code doesn't match. Fix: check the code in your most recent reset email and type it again.
• "Enter the 6-digit code": the code is too short. Fix: type all 6 digits.
• "Password does not meet requirements.": Fix: tick every rule in the checklist, including One special character.
• "Passwords do not match": Fix: type the same password in both fields.
• "Enter a valid email address": Fix: check the email for typos.

Limitations & considerations

• One password works for every workspace you belong to, so resetting it changes your sign-in everywhere in Pippify.
• Resend code only works when you reached this page from Forgot password? (the email address must show at the top of the page). If it doesn't, go back and request a new code.
