Summary
Overview: Coach can walk you through how Pippin is set up right now and tell you what to fix first. It reads your live settings and runs a setup check, then suggests changes for the Admin to apply.
Prerequisites:
- Access to Pippify Coach.
- To apply fixes, you must be the Admin.
How Coach Decides
- Coach starts from the setup check that runs when you open it. Checks marked as needing attention come first, then suggestions, then what is already fine.
- Coach reads each area of your settings before describing it, for example your brand voice, mission, business type, automation level, guidance rules, lead scoring and channels.
- If you say you just changed something, Coach runs the setup check again instead of trusting the earlier result.
- For a fix it can make, Coach prepares a Proposed change card for the Admin.
- For a fix it can't make (connecting Gmail or Zoho Mail, SMS, voice, Messenger, Facebook Lead Ads or a calendar, or managing users), Coach explains the steps and names the settings screen to use.
Limits
- Sales Managers and Sales Reps see only the checks they can act on. Checks about the mission, guidance rules, automation level and sending window are shown to the Admin only.
- Only the Admin can apply a change.
- The setup check does not cover every setting. It looks at the knowledge base, email, calendar, mission, guidance rules, automation level, sending window and follow-up sequences.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Start the review
- Click Pippify Coach in the left menu.
- Click the Review my setup card. Coach sends "Walk me through how my AI is set up right now, and what I should fix first."
- You can also type your own question, such as "What should I fix first?"
Step 2: Use the setup check buttons
- Look at the buttons under the welcome title. Each one is a setup check:
- An alert icon (! in a circle) means it needs attention.
- A light bulb means it is a suggestion.
- A check mark means that part is fine.
- Hover over a button to read more about it.
- Click a button to ask Coach about it. For example, clicking Your knowledge base is empty sends "My knowledge base is empty — what should I add first, and can you help me add it?"
Step 3: Act on what Coach finds
- If Coach shows a Proposed change card, the Admin can click Apply or Dismiss.
- If Coach points you to a settings screen, go there to finish the step. For example, connect your email inbox in Settings › Channels or a calendar in Settings › Connectors.
- After you fix something, tell Coach "I just changed it, check again" so it runs a fresh check.
Verify It Worked
Success criteria:
- After your fixes, the welcome screen shows fewer items needing attention, or "Your setup looks good. Ask me anything about it."
- Start a new chat to see the updated checks. Checks can take up to a minute to refresh.
Troubleshooting
Common errors
- "I couldn't check your setup just now, but you can still ask me anything.": the setup check failed to load. Fix: reload the page later. You can still ask Coach to review your setup.
- Coach says only the Admin can make the change: you asked for a change but are not the Admin. Fix: share Coach's explanation with your Admin.
Limitations & considerations
- The welcome checks refresh about once a minute, so a change you just made may not show right away.
- Coach describes your settings in its own words. The Settings screens are the final word on what is saved.
