Summary
Overview: Pippin scores each lead from 0 to 100. The hot and warm thresholds decide which score counts as Hot, Warm or Cold, so your team can focus on the best leads first.
Prerequisites:
- You are the Admin of the workspace.
- At least one enabled attribute has an Importance, so leads get a score. See How to Set Up Lead Scoring.
How Pippin Decides
- Pippin scores the lead from 0 to 100.
- If the score is at or above Hot ≥, the lead is Hot.
- Otherwise, if the score is at or above Warm ≥, the lead is Warm.
- Any lower score is Cold.
- A customer who clearly asks for a meeting, or books one, gets at least your Hot ≥ score, so the lead is Hot. See How Pippin Reads and Scores a Lead.
Limits
- Hot ≥ can be 1 to 100. Warm ≥ can be 1 to 99.
- Hot ≥ must be higher than Warm ≥.
- New workspaces start at Hot ≥ 70 and Warm ≥ 40.
- Applying Generate from KB or a Quick-Start pack also sets the thresholds, replacing yours. A Quick-Start pack sets them even when every attribute in it was skipped.
- During setup, the lead scoring Pippin builds sets the thresholds too, unless your workspace already had attributes.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Open the Lead Scoring strip
- In the left menu, go to Settings › AI Studio.
- Click the Attributes tab. The Lead Scoring strip is at the top.
Step 2: Change the thresholds
- Type the lowest score for a hot lead in Hot ≥, for example 75.
- Type the lowest score for a warm lead in Warm ≥, for example 45.
- Click Save thresholds. The button turns on only after you change a number.
- The message "Thresholds saved." appears.
Step 3 (optional): Ask Pippify Coach
- Open Pippify Coach and ask, for example, "Set my hot threshold to 80 and warm to 50."
- Coach shows a Proposed change card. As the Admin, click Apply to save it, or Dismiss. Coach can't propose a hot threshold that isn't higher than the warm one.
Verify It Worked
Success criteria:
- After you reload the page, Hot ≥ and Warm ≥ show your numbers.
- Leads Pippin scores from now on carry a Hot, Warm or Cold label that matches your thresholds.
Troubleshooting
Common errors
- "Hot threshold must be greater than warm.": Hot ≥ is the same as or lower than Warm ≥. Fix: raise Hot ≥ or lower Warm ≥.
- "Failed to save thresholds.": the save didn't go through, for example because a number is out of range. Fix: use whole numbers in range and try again.
- Save thresholds stays grey: the numbers match what is saved. Fix: change a number first.
Limitations & considerations
- Leads are labelled with the thresholds in place when Pippin scores them.
