How to Update Company Info

Summary

Overview: Update your company name, industry and business description after setup. Your company name comes from sign-up, and in the setup wizard Pippin fills in your industry and a description of what you do from your website or knowledge (you can change them there with Change). This section of My Account is where you change them later.

Prerequisites:

  • You are the workspace Admin. The Company info chip doesn't show for other roles.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Open Company info

  1. Click your avatar in the top-right corner.
  2. Select My Account.
  3. Click the Company info chip at the top of the page.

Step 2: Edit your company details

  1. In Company Name, type your company's name.
  2. In Industry, choose the closest match, for example Travel & Tourism or Consulting / Professional Services. Choose Other if none fits.
  3. In Business Description, describe what your business does. The counter under the box shows how many of the 1000 characters you have used.

Step 3: Save

  1. Click Save. To undo your edits before saving, click Cancel.
  2. A message confirms "Changes saved successfully."

Verify It Worked

Success criteria:

  • You see "Changes saved successfully."
  • When you open Company info again, it shows your new details.

Troubleshooting

Common errors

  • "Please describe your business in at least 20 characters.": the description is too short. Save stays greyed out until you fix it. Fix: write at least 20 characters, or clear the box.
  • "Save failed. Please try again.": the details weren't saved, for example because Company Name was empty. Fix: fill in Company Name and click Save again.

Limitations & considerations

  • The business description can be up to 1000 characters.
  • Your business type (Travel Agency, B2B - Appointment Setting or B2B - Closing Deals) isn't set here. Change it under Settings › Business type.
  • If you are not the Admin, a link or bookmark to Company info opens Personal information instead.
