Why Was I Signed Out?

Summary
Overview: Pippify signs you out to keep your workspace safe: after a period without activity, when your session can't be renewed, or when an Admin changes your access. Sign in again to carry on.

Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Work out which case you're in

Step 2: Stay signed in when warned
- When the Still there? window appears, click Stay signed in.
- The inactivity timer starts again.
Step 3: Sign in again
- On the Your session has ended page, click Back to Login.
- Sign in with your email and password. See How to Sign In and Choose a Workspace.
- Pippify usually takes you back to the page you were on.
Step 4: If your access changed
- If you were suspended, ask your Admin to reactivate you. See How to Suspend or Reactivate a User.
- If the Admin role was moved to you, sign in again so you see the Admin pages such as Settings. See How to Make Someone Else the Admin.
Verify It Worked
Success criteria:
- After signing in, the top bar shows your name and role.
- Clicking Stay signed in closes the warning and you stay on the page.
Troubleshooting
Common errors
- I keep getting signed out while Pippify is open: a tab in the background doesn't count as activity. Fix: click Stay signed in when warned, or move the mouse or press a key in the tab. Switching back to the tab also restarts the timer.
- "Your account has been suspended. Please contact your admin.": Fix: ask your Admin to reactivate your account.
- "Incorrect email or password." when signing back in: Fix: use Forgot password? (see How to Reset Your Password).
Limitations & considerations
- Unsaved changes on a page are lost when you're signed out. Save often during long edits.
- The inactivity timer runs on Pippify's main pages, not in the setup wizard.
- Signing out yourself: click your name in the top-right corner and choose Sign Out.
- The Pippify logo at the top of the Your session has ended page opens the Pippify website in a new tab. To sign in, use Back to Login.
